About me - Adam Maher
I live in South Dartmoor with my wife and two young children. I have a deep love and connection to nature which led to a career in environmental conservation, managing some of the most special and sensitive outdoor spaces in England.
Alongside my career I journeyed into therapy from a place of wanting to understand my own wounds so attended my own therapy for a number of years. This made me aware that I was living from scripts that others had given me rather than my own life plan. In turn this deeper conscious awareness allowed me to move away from self sabotaging behaviours and towards positive autonomous personal choice.
I then made the choice to deepen my journey into therapy completing my Level 4 Advanced Diploma in counselling, setting up my own private practice in the hope of bringing the same opening to awareness and personal autonomy to others. I hope to one day combine counselling with my conservation business in the beautiful Devon countryside.
